So where did the big screen mobile trend come from? For this, we have to go a little past, that is, until the launch of the touchscreen phone from the keypad phone. All the previously launched keypad phones were like BlackBerry smartphones, meaning the phone had a 1.8 or 2.4-inch screen and a keypad button below. At that time, BlackBerry phones were called smartphones.

But the whole story changed in 2007 as Apple company launched its first smartphone iPhone 2g in 2007.  That is, the normal iPhone was also the size of a phone with a keypad, but it had a 3.5-inch display from the front and only one home button at the bottom.

Earlier, all phones used to have a lot of buttons, but on iPhone, Apple thought that we would give only one button at home that is called the home button, the rest would be done by touch screen. And that phone became a hit as soon as it was launched in the market.

The biggest reason for this was Apple's software because users were getting a bigger screen, in which they could run a lot of applications like they could browse the internet, watch videos, listen to songs and without any problem, users could use all things in one phone

Because this phone was the first big-screen phone in the market at that time, the user liked it very much and Apple's phone was a success.  And seeing this, the company felt that the big screen meant a lot to the user. And after this, many Android manufacturers like Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola launched their big-screen phones and many companies also launched 4-inch phones in the market.

But in 2011, there was a major revolution in the world of phones. In 2011, Samsung launched its first Galaxy Note 1 in the market, measuring 5.3 inches. And even then the iPhone had a 3.5-inch display.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 1 used to be the largest phone at that time, so many people said in their opinion that this phone will not run, it will flop because its screen is too big. But as soon as it was launched in the market, this phone sold a lot and most people liked it because more content could be viewed simultaneously.

People liked this phone very much in watching content like videos, photos, and users also liked gaming very much, it means that the user liked the big-screen phone more, and with this, the battery in this phone was also very good. Because the keypad phone had a battery problem and the Galaxy Note 1 got a bigger battery with a bigger screen and the user liked it and it became a hit in the market.

When Samsung's phone gained popularity in the market, Samsung started making big-screen phones and started working on its Galaxy S series and Note series and these two series phones started making bigger every year. And similar other Android companies also started making big-screen phones like phablet.

In 2012, Apple also launched its iPhone 5 with a 4-inch display. Because Apple also understood that the next stage will be the big-screen smartphone. And that's why Apple launched the iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display and also launched a larger screen version of the iPhone 6 Plus, which offered a 5.5-inch display.
